I am writing to submit a formal request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding the Vicus Way Multi-Storey Car Park in Maidenhead.
I am seeking recorded data held by the local authority regarding the design layout, dimensions, and known operational risks of this facility from its opening date in December 2022 to the present day.
I note that in the council’s own published RBWM Parking Strategy Cabinet Report, the local authority explicitly acknowledges under the "Space, aisle and ramp sizes" evaluation that:
"The other key issues are the aisles and the ramp widths are narrow and can lead to damage to vehicles."
In light of this documented acknowledgement of risk and the widespread public consensus regarding this layout, please provide the following information:
1.    Number of Official Complaints: How many official complaints, claims, or pieces of negative user feedback has the council received specifically regarding the narrow width, restrictive geometry, or lack of turning space on the up/down ramps at Vicus Way Car Park? Please ensure this database search includes logs corresponding to documented public complaints from local drivers who have explicitly stated that "the up/down ramps are narrow with not a lot of turning space for a mid-size car" and that the layout is "shockingly tight in contrast to standard modern multi-storey structures."
2.    Number of Reported Accidents/Incidents: How many vehicular collisions, scrapes, or accidents involving the ramps, walls, or structural columns at this specific location have been reported to the council, its parking contractors, or your insurance/risk management department?
3.    Maintenance and Repair Records: If minor vehicle scrapes are not formally logged as "accidents," please provide the total number of times maintenance, repainting, cladding repairs, or structural touch-ups have been carried out on the ramp walls or columns due to vehicle impact or scraping.
