I wish to make an FOI request. As per section 232 of the Local Housing Act, you are required to keep a register of HMO licences.
Please can you supply a current copy of this register - or failing that, provide me with a breakdown of the number of HMO licences for each postcode sector (this includes the postcode area and the first number of the inward codee.g. xxx x) and the total occupancy limits of HMOs in each postcode area. (ideally I would have each individual HMO licence, but am happy for it to be aggregated if data considerations apply).
Can you please also tell me the number of active HMO licences for your area as of the start of Q3 (1 July) for the years 2023,2024, 2025, and 2026 - along with, if possible, the combined total occupancy limits.
