I am submitting this request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding the handling of Subject Access Requests (SARs) by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
I am not requesting any personal information, names, case details, correspondence, identifying information or information relating to individual data subjects or SARs. I am solely requesting anonymised, aggregated statistical information concerning SAR response times and compliance with the applicable statutory deadlines.
Please provide the following information for the most recent three complete calendar years, together with the current calendar year to date:
1. The total number of Subject Access Requests received by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in each year.
2. The number and percentage of SARs responded to within the applicable statutory deadline in each year.
3. The number and percentage of SARs where the statutory response deadline was exceeded in each year.
4. For SARs where the statutory deadline was exceeded, please provide the number that were:
- responded to within 1–30 days after the deadline;
- responded to within 31–60 days after the deadline;
- responded to within 61–90 days after the deadline; and
- responded to more than 90 days after the deadline.
5. The number of SARs that remained outstanding after the statutory deadline at the end of each calendar year.
6. If recorded, the average and/or median number of days taken to respond to SARs in each year.
7. If recorded, the number of complaints or internal escalations received specifically concerning SARs that had exceeded the statutory response deadline, by year.
8. If available, please provide the number of SARs exceeding the statutory deadline broken down by the relevant Council department or service area. This should be provided only as aggregated statistical data and must not identify any individual or individual SAR.
For clarity, I am not seeking access to the content of any SAR, personal data, names of requesters, names of staff, case reference numbers, correspondence, reasons relating to individual cases, or any other information that could identify an individual.
I am specifically seeking statistical data that demonstrates the Council's level of compliance with the statutory SAR response requirements, including the frequency and extent to which deadlines are exceeded.
If any part of this request is considered exempt or would exceed the appropriate cost limit, please provide the information that can be disclosed and advise me which part of the request is affected, rather than refusing the request in its entirety.
Where figures are already routinely reported or published by the Council, please provide the relevant link or document alongside the figures.
Please provide the information in an electronic format, preferably as a simple table or spreadsheet.
