I would like to understand the circumstances in which the Tree Preservation Order identified as TPO 113 of 2002 was made and confirmed. Please treat this email as a request for environmental information under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
Please provide electronic copies of all information held by the Council relating to the making and confirmation of TPO 113 of 2002, [...] including:
1. The original Tree Preservation Order, including the signed or sealed Order, schedule and plan.
2. The date on which the Order was made and the date on which it was confirmed.
3. Any tree officer’s inspection notes, site assessments, amenity assessments, scoring sheets, photographs, plans or reports concerning the tree.
4. The recorded reasons for deciding that it was expedient in the interests of amenity to protect the tree.
5. Any correspondence, telephone notes or other records concerning the proposed felling of the tree, including communications with the previous owner, their tree surgeon or any other person.
6. Any delegated officer report, committee report, decision notice or recommendation relating to the making or confirmation of the Order.
7. Copies of the notices and documents served on the owner or occupier when the Order was made.
8. Any objections or representations received regarding the Order and the Council’s consideration of them. I appreciate that personal information may need to be redacted where appropriate.
9. The notice confirming the Order and any accompanying statement explaining why the Council decided to confirm it.
10. Any subsequent review, variation, modification or consideration of revoking the Order.
11. Any records explaining why this particular tree was selected for protection, including any assessment of its visibility, condition, species, individual quality and contribution to the public amenity or street scene.
