I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 relating to the recent refurbishment and reopening of The Pirate Park at Clewer Recreation Ground.
[...] I have concerns regarding the condition of the play area following its reopening and wish to understand the governance, quality assurance and expenditure associated with the project.

Please provide copies of the following recorded information:
1. The total cost of the refurbishment project, including the original contract value and any subsequent variations or additional expenditure.
2. The name of the principal contractor and any subcontractors appointed to undertake the works.
3. Copies of all inspection records, quality assurance records, snagging lists, defect reports and any records demonstrating that the works were inspected during construction.
4. Copies of all post-construction safety inspections, play equipment inspections and compliance certificates obtained before the park was opened to the public.
5. Copies of the Practical Completion Certificate, handover documentation or equivalent records confirming completion of the works.
6. Records identifying the officer(s), consultant(s) or other authorised person(s) who approved or signed off the reopening of the play area.
7. Copies of any risk assessments relating to the decision to open the play area where defects or outstanding works remained.
8. Copies of any complaints, defect reports or safety concerns received since the reopening of the park, including records relating to the report I submitted on 26 July 2026 via the on-site QR code (with any personal information appropriately redacted).
9. Copies of any internal correspondence, meeting notes or decision records relating to the decision to reopen the park despite any known outstanding defects or safety concerns.
