This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
It concerns the use of the council's internal whistleblowing procedure by staff. By "whistleblowing" I mean concerns raised by employees (and, where recorded, agency or contracted staff) under the council's formal whistleblowing policy. Only aggregate annual totals are requested; no information identifying any individual is sought.
Please provide the recorded information held by the council that answers each of the following:
1. The number of formal whistleblowing disclosures made by staff under the council's whistleblowing policy in each of the last ten years, broken down by year. Please state whether the figures are given by calendar year or financial year.
2. For each of those years, how many of the disclosures were formally investigated, and how many were upheld or substantiated in whole or in part.
