RBWM Local Elections
Please note that RBWM run local elections every four years. The next Local Elections for RBWM is scheduled for Thursday 6 May 2027.
Please provide all information held by the council relating to the highways team’s assessment of the loss of 24 parking spaces at Braywick Leisure Centre Car Park in connection with planning application 25/1140/FULL.
In particular, we refer to the highways consultee response published on the planning portal on 22 July 2025, which states that there are “no concerns” regarding the loss of parking spaces.
Please provide all information that informed or supported this conclusion, including but not limited to:
• Any parking occupancy surveys, usage data, or traffic studies considered
• Any internal correspondence (including emails) between highways officers and planning officers discussing the proposal
• Any notes, reports, or internal assessments prepared by the highways team
• Any policies, standards, thresholds, or guidance applied in reaching this conclusion
• Any assumptions or modelling used
In addition, we understand the car park land where the car wash will be situated is owned by the Council. Please provide all information held relating to the council’s decision, as landowner, to make this part of the car park available for use as a car wash, including:
• Any business case, appraisal, or report supporting the decision to make the land available to the planning applicant
• Any assessment of the impact on parking capacity and usage
• Any internal correspondence (including emails) discussing the proposal
• Any equality impact assessments, transport assessments, or community impact considerations
• Details of any alternative options or sites considered
• Any lease, licence, or agreement entered into with the operator (with commercially sensitive information redacted if necessary)
