As you will know, MHCLG releases figures on the number of traveller caravans in each local authority twice a year. With counts taking place in January and June. But due to the time lag between data collection and publication, the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead’s figures won’t be released in the official statistics for another five months.
[...] I’d therefore be grateful if you could share the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead’s January figures with me, particularly the count of traveller caravans on unauthorised developments.
MHCLG use a number of different categories, sub-categories, terms and definitions, so I would ask that officers separate the January figures into the below sub-categories?
Caravans on socially rented sites
Caravans on authorised privately funded sites with temporary planning permission
Caravans on authorised privately funded sites with permanent planning permission
Total caravans on authorised privately funded sites
Tolerated unauthorised caravans on land owned by Travellers
Not tolerated unauthorised caravans on land owned by Travellers
Tolerated unauthorised caravans on land not owned by Travellers
Not tolerated unauthorised caravans on land not owned by Travellers
I'm also aware that some local authorities have struggled to access sites to carry out January's count, so would you mind sharing how many inaccessible sites your officers came across?
