Proposed Development of the Former Maidenhead Golf Club
During the public consultation in Maidenhead conducted by Cala Homes on 24 February 2026 in relation to the above referred to matter a number of questions arise in relation to which I would be grateful to receive clarification under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 if the local authority holds such information and if that is the case to communicate same to the undersigned or, in the alternative, advise from where it may be obtained:
1) Can you please advise (a) when payment is to be made to RBWM by the developer, Cala Management Limited (or any other company within the group) and (b) the amount to be paid, or; (c) the total sum to be paid if payment is to be phased, for securing the leasehold interest in the former Maidenhead Golf Club (MGC) land and buildings under Land Registry Title Numbers BK361745 and BK453678?
2) Please confirm if such payment by the developer will be in respect (a) of a single sum for all of the land on the MCG site or (b) conditional at the commencement of works of each projected phase of the agreed proposed development and if so (c) will such future payments be conditional upon receipt of individual LPA Reserved Matters Approval for each phase?
3) When is it intended for RBWM to erect proposed fencing to enclose the existing public right of way running east/west across the former golf course and maintain same or will RBWM be devolving this responsibility to Cala Homes/Management Limited at a some future date?
4) Is it the intention of RBWM to permanently retain the freehold interest and therefore still preserve overall responsibility for the maintenance or replacement over time of:- (a) all common area grass; vegetation; trees; bushes etc; (b) all buildings and other fixed structures; and boundaries, and; (c) overall site security all on a reducing basis until the development is finalised over time excepting, perhaps, retention of the freehold interest?
5) Please confirm that the proposed Primary and Secondary schools (if built) will be the sole and exclusive concern of RBWM the cost of construction being wholly state funded?
If these questions are answered in the Planning Agreement can you please provide a finalised copy of same
