Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, or Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 for Scottish Authorities, I am requesting information regarding School Crossing Patrols (SCPs) and associated signage within your authority’s jurisdiction.
Specifically, I request the following information:
• Location Data: A list of all current, active School Crossing Patrol sites. Where possible, please provide the specific road name and coordinates (Latitude/Longitude or Easting/Northing).
• Operational Times: The times during the day when the School Crossing Patroller is on site, even for sites where there is currently no active officer.
• Asset Information: If available, a list or dataset of the physical locations of "School Crossing" warning signs (prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions, e.g., Sign 545).
• Supervision Status: Whether each site is currently "active" (staffed by a patrol officer) or "vacant" (identified as a crossing point but currently unstaffed).
Format of Response: To facilitate the use of this data, I request that the above information be provided in a machine-readable format, such as CSV, Excel (.xlsx), or GeoJSON. Please avoid providing the data in PDF format if a spreadsheet or database export is available.
