Request

Please treat this as a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
As you will be aware, both the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) and Save Face are voluntary registers for the aesthetics industry. They have no statutory or regulatory powers, and they are not recognised in law as enforcement or licensing authorities.
On that basis, please provide answers to the following questions:
1.    Use of JCCP/Save Face Guidance
o    Does your council make reference to, or rely upon, the JCCP or Save Face in its policies, procedures, guidance, or enforcement activity relating to cosmetic/aesthetic practitioners or premises?
o    If yes, please provide copies of any documents, reports, guidance notes, aide-memoires, or correspondence where this is referenced.
2.    Formal Agreements or Endorsements
o    Has your council entered into any form of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), contract, service level agreement, or partnership arrangement with either the JCCP or Save Face?
o    If so, please provide details and a copy of the relevant document(s).
3.    Enforcement / Licensing Cases
o    In the last three years, have officers (including EHOs, licensing teams, or trading standards) cited JCCP or Save Face standards, registers, or guidance when dealing with enforcement, licensing, or compliance matters involving cosmetic or aesthetic practitioners?
o    If so, please provide details (case references may be anonymised).
4.    Recommendations to the Public
o    Has your council at any time signposted members of the public to the JCCP or Save Face registers, websites, or helplines as an official source of advice?
o    Please provide examples of any such communication (press releases, web pages, leaflets, correspondence, etc.).
5.    Correspondence
o    Please provide copies of correspondence (emails, letters, meeting notes, or minutes) between the council (including environmental health, licensing, or trading standards departments) and either the JCCP or Save Face, in the last three years.
o    If this part of the request is considered too wide to process within the statutory cost limit, please restrict to the last 12 months.
