We are currently looking to enhance our coverage of UK taxi vehicle data—specifically private hire and Hackney carriage registrations—both current and historical, [...]


We’ve observed that a number of local councils make this data available in CSV format via the .Gov website under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. From the councils we’ve contacted so far, we’ve been able to obtain datasets typically including the following fields:
•    Vehicle Registration Mark (VRM)
•    VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
•    Make/Brand
•    Model/Range
•    Licence Start Date
•    Licence End Date
