Please provide me with an annual list of fees paid to the local authority for music festivals or concerts - generally ticketed events held in parks - by their organisers for each of the last five financial years, including 2024/25. The subject of park hire is of significant public interest. On one side, campaigners have argued that local authorities are not doing enough to monetise these resources and keep down escalating council tax charges; while on the other, campaigners argue that communities are being denied valuable public spaces which are being damaged in the process. There is a significant vacuum of public information about the price of park hire and all associated costs paid to the local authority as part of the site hire to inform this public debate. There are also concerns that some local authorities are not charging enough - and maximising revenue for the public purse. Please break down fees per individual named festival, where possible.
