Responsible for:

• Statutory Director of adult social services (DASS) and commissioner for Optalis.
• All Age Safeguarding Board, providing multi-agency oversight.
• Adult social care transformation.
• NHS and social care integration.
• Community and voluntary sector partnerships.
• Public Health.

Key tasks involve:

• Delivery of the statutory responsibilities of the Director of adult services for the Royal Borough.
• Lead the development of the council’s adults social care and community services, and relationships with health and public health services.
• Lead the development of joint and integrated commissioning strategies for residents with Achieving for Children, Optalis, health and community/voluntary sector partners.
• Lead the Adult Service transformation agenda, including oversight of the improvement plan following the national assurance programme and closer collaboration with health services.
• Lead the developing community and voluntary sector approach to increasing the connection with residents to help them lead healthy lives for longer.
