Resolved: That this Council: 
Asked the Leader of the Council to write to Central Government and to Heathrow Airport, to encourage them to address the major challenges of Heathrow airport operation and expansion as viewed by RBWM residents and businesses, including: 

i)   the health destroying impact of noise pollution, especially at night.
ii)  the weakness of present airspace rules enforcement. 
iii)  the environmental impact of flying and the journey to the airport.
iv)  the history of broken economic improvement promises. 
v)   the need to achieve maximum economic benefit for our residents.
vi)  the need to minimise disruption to residents caused by low-flying aircraft.

Update: Council agreed this unanimously and it has been submitted to the Assistant Director.

Resolved: That this Council:

i) Noted that the determination of fines, fees and charges and expenditure was made as part of the statutory budget setting process.
ii) Due to this statutory process, investigated increasing the fines for fly tipping within the statutory rules as part of this year’s budget setting process.
iii) Due to this statutory process, investigated the installation of CCTV cameras at frequent fly-tipping locations as part of this year’s budget setting process.

Update: Council agreed this unanimously and it has been submitted to the Assistant Director.

Resolved: That this Council:

Asks that the Leader of the Council, the Cabinet Member for Children’s Services and the Councillor who proposed the motion, write to government demanding that the case of the boys who were groomed and abused at Green Field House be included in the full national statutory inquiry into grooming and that a public inquiry be held. 

Update: Council agreed this unanimously. A letter was written by the Council Leader and Cabinet Member for Children's Services, which was then sent to central government in September 2025. Complete.

Resolved: That this Council:

Recognises the wishes of the Maidenhead Town Forum’s current membership to be known henceforth as 'Maidenhead Forum'.

Update: Council agreed this unanimously. The name change has taken place and has since been updated on the Council's website and Constitution. Complete.

Resolved: That this Council:
i) Noted that the process for alteration of street names in England was now proscribed by Section 81 of The Levelling-up and Regeneration Act 2023.
ii) Agreed that, in the absence of Regulations to the contrary, “sufficient local support” for such an alteration under that Section will be defined throughout the Royal Borough as the consent of two-thirds in number of all ratepayers and persons who are liable to pay an amount in respect of council tax in the street in question.

Resolved: That this Council:
i) Highlights the impact that fireworks can have on animal welfare and vulnerable people through RBWM communication channels, including the precautions that can be taken to mitigate risks, and;
ii) Asked the Leader of the Council to write to Central Government urging them to introduce legislation to limit the maximum noise level of fireworks to 90dB for those sold to the public for private displays.

Update: Council agreed this unanimously and conversations have already taken place between the RBWM Communications team and the Proposer and Seconder on how to include this in future comms. The Leader of the Council is working on their letter to Central Government.
