The WAM Get Involved monthly e-newsletter highlights new funding opportunities for groups in Slough and the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead as well as news, training and features. 

Monthly Funding E-Newsletter 

WAM Get Involved delivers a programme of training for the voluntary sector, helping organisations to grow and remain sustainable with funding workshops running throughout the year and one-to-one sessions with funders, giving you the opportunity to discuss your project ideas directly.

WAM Get Involved Training Opportunities 

WAM Get Involved updates their funding page weekly. Current funding opportunities are available on https://sloughcvs.org/funding/ and are categorised into Funding over £10,000, Funding under £10,000 and Ongoing funding programme.

This is a free fundraising platform for all good causes who support residents across the borough. It's a fun and easy way to promote the work of your organisation and raise money, this could be ongoing costs or specific projects.

Our community lottery is all online and runs on their dedicated website below. Once you sign up as a good cause, you will have access, through your dashboard, to free marketing materials and support for you and players.

We strongly encourage all voluntary and community groups and charities to sign up to make the most of this great opportunity!

Windsor and Maidenhead Community Lottery

The Innovation Fund is a joint initiative by the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and NHS Frimley that provides financial support for community‑led projects aimed at improving residents’ health and wellbeing. 

Since 2022, it has funded more than 50 local projects and offers up to £5,000 to help new ideas get started. 

The fund is open to any RBWM resident or community group, regardless of age or size, as long as the project is sustainable and focuses on one of four priority areas: 

• improving access to services, 
• reducing social isolation and loneliness, 
• promoting health prevention, or 
• tackling health inequalities. 

National Lottery Awards for All England offers grants of £300 to £20,000 to support projects that help communities thrive. 

Funding is available for initiatives that bring people together, improve local places, help people reach their potential, or respond to community needs, including the cost of living. 

Grants can be used to start new activities, continue existing projects, or help organisations adapt to new challenges. The programme is designed for community-led groups, with priority given to projects shaped by local people, and features a simple online application process with decisions usually made within 16 weeks.

Berkshire Community Foundation (BCF) is a grant making organisation that supports community projects and organisations across the county. They offer advice on their grant process in the following ways

• Due diligence requirements.
• Funding hints and tips.
• How to acknowledge your grant.
• Measuring project impact.
• Template press release.
• Connect you to other community groups.

National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) offers a free step-by-step guide to grant funding. The guide helps you:

• Make sure you have the right organisational tools in place i.e.. bank accounts and business plans.
• Consider grant timescales vs. your need.
• How you evidence need and outline how the grant will be managed.

The RBWM Communities Team has access to Grants Online. This is a database of funding opportunities from organisations and businesses across the UK.

MAX is an AI-powered funding search tool provided by Grants Online. It helps voluntary, community and charitable organisations quickly identify funding opportunities that may be suitable for their projects and services.
