Armed forces support

Whether part of the Armed Forces Community or not, residents are already supportive to each other through charity work, taking part in Armed Forces Day and by being good neighbours.

There is great desire to seek ways in which the Armed Forces Community and wider community can be more mutually supportive and work together.

Armed forces military champions

We also support the military community by having an Armed Forces Champion. The purpose of this role is to help forge better communication between RBWM, military residents, serving personnel, veterans and their families, and our military bases.

Armed forces covenant

Every central government department, every local authority in mainland Great Britain, and more than 900 businesses and organisations of all sizes have now signed the Covenant.

Royal County of Berkshire Civilian Military Partnership Board

The Royal County of Berkshire Civilian-Military Partnership Board (RBCMPB) has been created to build upon the individual working relationships between the six unitary councils.

Reservists information and support

Reservists work alongside regular serving personnel to deliver the military capability the nation needs in an integrated fashion.

Support for veterans

A veteran is someone who has served in the armed forces for a day or more but is no longer serving.

Employee recognition scheme

RBWM currently hold the Gold Award for Employee Recognition Scheme.
