A jobs fair will take place at Windsor Library on Tuesday 20 September between 10.30am and 2pm.
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead is working with the Jobcentre Plus to promote local job vacancies to our residents via an in-person jobs fair. Jobseekers will have the opportunity to connect with employers looking for staff to fill their vacancies. Employers across a variety of sectors will be attending this event, so this is an ideal forum for candidates to understand the local jobs market, and the skills required to be successful in their applications.
Councillor Andrew Johnson, the council leader and cabinet member for growth and opportunity, said: “Connecting jobseekers with potential employers is vital in helping to support a thriving local economy. The borough is home to an impressive range of local, national and international businesses and giving our residents the chance to take advantage of employment opportunities is beneficial for everyone. As businesses in the borough are seeing encouraging increases in footfall and bookings, it is vital that they recruit high-calibre staff to ensure they can meet demand and build prosperity in the borough.
“Using a popular community space like Windsor Library to link up the right people with the right employers looking for staff provides a convenient and accessible environment for our residents and businesses to meet, with access to knowledgeable staff and computers for our residents to follow up any potential job opportunities.”
Employers who wish to attend the event should contact windsor.library@rbwm.gov.uk.
Candidates can talk to their Job Centre Plus Work Coach for more information, or just turn up on the day to Windsor Library in Bachelors Acre.
