A recruitment event promoting jobs in the Royal Borough’s hospitality and tourism sector will take place at the Macdonald Windsor Hotel, Windsor High Street, on Monday 13 June, from 1pm to 4pm.

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead is working with local hospitality and tourism businesses to promote careers and opportunities in this vibrant and important sector.

Local jobseekers will have the opportunity to connect with employers looking for staff to fill their vacancies. There will also be short talks at 1.30pm and 2.30pm explaining the types of roles available in the local hospitality and tourism market sector, and the chance to hear about career opportunities.

Employers, large and small, will be attending this event, so this is an ideal forum for candidates to understand the skills required to be successful in their applications.

Councillor Andrew Johnson, the leader of the council and cabinet member for growth & opportunity, said: “Hospitality and tourism is an essential part of the strong economy in the borough, and ensuring our successful businesses can recruit and retain high calibre candidates is critical to supporting economic recovery and a successful local economy.

“This event is a great opportunity for jobseekers to find out more about the sector and the career and employment opportunities available. Having all this information in one place provides the perfect chance to learn more, so please do come along.

“Collaborating with Macdonald Windsor Hotel to support this sector is an excellent way to build strong links with our local hospitality and tourism businesses and understand their challenges and opportunities. We are committed to building thriving communities and inspiring places in the borough, serving the needs of our residents and creating a unique identity that attracts domestic and international visitors to spend time in the area.”

Candidates interested in attending can just turn up at the hotel. For enquiries, please call 01753 483100.
