Adele Taylor has been appointed as the Director of Resources and Section 151 Officer at the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.
The appointment was made following approval at Full Council last night. Adele will start in her role in the spring.
Adele joins the council from Cherwell District Council in Oxfordshire where she is Interim Executive Director Finance.
Adele, says: “I am delighted to have been appointed to the new role and I look forward to working with councillors, officers and partners to ensure we deliver key services to the residents and businesses of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.
Councillor David Hilton, Lead Member for Finance, says: “Adele will be a key addition to the finance team as we work through building the budgets and the medium-term financial strategy.
“This is a strategic appointment that brings more capacity to the director team and supports the organisational restructure. I am looking forward to working with her.”
Adele is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy and has previously worked at Cherwell and South Northants Council, East Herts Council, and the London Borough of Ealing where she managed accountancy and finance support to children’s and adult services and was finance lead on the West London Alliance on adult’s social care project.
While at Cherwell District Council, Adele, led on a cross cutting programme board for all place-based projects across the council which linked into the council’s contribution to Oxfordshire’s Growth Deal. She also led on the £70m town centre improvement project in Banbury including a new retail and leisure concept in council owned assets.
