Residents who commented on the Borough Local Plan will have a chance to make representations to the Planning Inspector in person at the first public session of the examination in public.
The sessions will take place Tuesday 26 June to Thursday 28 June with Louise Phillips MA, MSc, MRTPI, the Planning Inspector appointed to oversee the emerging BLP’s examination.
The first public hearing will be held in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, St Ives Road, Maidenhead, SL6 1RF from 10am until 5.30pm.
The examination is to hear from those who made representations during the Regulation 19 process. However, anyone wishing to exercise their right to be heard must contact the Programme Office by 5pm on Friday 25 May to confirm which session they wish to attend.
There will be another session later in the year – it is anticipated that this will be in late September/early October.
The plan was submitted to the Secretary of State for independent examination on 31 January 2018.
Following the hearing, a report will be prepared setting out the inspector’s recommendations in relation to its adoption.
Once adopted, the plan will run retrospectively from 2013 until 2033 and will help guide where developments including housing, leisure, retail, office and open space should be sited and how they will fit in with existing and planned infrastructure.
The Borough Local plan will shape the next two decades of growth and facilitate new homes and infrastructure in the borough.
