Providing home to school transport for the council

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead set up an on-line Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to tender for transport services, including Home to School Transport.  The DPS is made up of five lots, and operators can register to provide services for one or more of the lots.  Once registered, operators will be evaluated and those accredited to join the DPS will be invited to tender for work within the lots they have been accredited for.  If an operator wants to become accredited for further lots once they have joined the DPS they will be able to do so at any time.

The DPS is made up of the following five lots:

  • Lot 1 Passenger Carrying Vehicles (nine seater +).
  • Lot 2 Hackney/Private hire (eight seats or less).
  • Lot 3 Driver and/or Passenger Assistant Provision.
  • Lot 5 Other car provisions such as community cars.

Further information

We held workshops at the Town Hall, Maidenhead to give everyone more information about the DPS registration process.  Any operators who missed the workshops can view the presentation from the workshop by downloading the DPS Market Warming Presentation.  Frequently asked questions from the workshops and training sessions are available to download and may help answer many questions operators may have; they can be downloaded from DPS Frequently Asked Questions

Any operators who would like to register to join the DPS can download guidance notes on using the system by going to How to Navigate the Bravo DPS System, How to Register on the Bravo DPS System and Viewing and Responding to Transport Tenders.  To register to join the DPS operators can go to https://public.bravosolution.co.uk/ and follow the ‘Suppliers Register Here’ link.

Training sessions can be organised to help any operator having difficulty registering to join the DPS or responding to an Invitation to Tender (ITT).  For further information please email transport@achievingforchildren.org.uk

The Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) notice for the DPS was published on Friday 10 June 2016 and can be viewed at OJEU Notice for Transport.
