A retail and town centre study has been prepared to help inform planning policy in the borough. The study assesses the capacity to support new shopping floorspace in the borough’s four key town centres – Maidenhead, Windsor, Ascot and Sunningdale. It examines the characteristics of those centres and options for their future development, as well as providing commentary on trends and changes in the wider retail market and their influence on future development patterns.
