Applications for filming

If you wish to film on or use the space to facilitate filming on any council controlled highways or places you will require a letter of no objection from the film office.

The exception to this is for very small scale filming with handheld equipment only. In this instance you do not require a letter of objection, but you will need to make us aware of your intention to filming at filmunit@rbwm.gov.uk.

The film office aims to respond to your initial enquiry within two working day, letters of no objection will be issued within 10 working days.

Short notice requests

If you have a last minute request for filming we will do our best to fast track the application, however the success of this depends on the complexity of your request.

There are often several key stakeholders that need to be consulted with before a letter of no objection can be formally issued by the film unit team.

If you have any questions regarding your application please email us before submission.

You may also require parking suspensions/dispensations, or temporary traffic management. These applications are dealt with separately by the respective departments.

Please note: that you will need both a letter of no objection and approval from parking or highways for your filming request.
