Procedure for requesting information

  1. log your request and give you a unique reference number.
  2. if necessary, ask you to clarify what information you require.
  3. inform you if a fee needs to be paid.
  4. supply the information within the statutory timescale.

You can request any information the council holds. Our publication scheme will help guide you to information available on our website or you can contact the information governance team for specific requests.

Certain information may be withheld under one or more of the Freedom of Information Exemptions or the Environmental Information Regulations Exceptions.

To comply with our obligations under the Data Protection Act requests for copies of the personal information that the council holds on you will have any third party information removed before release.
