This consultation has now closed, and the outcome was reported to Cabinet in June 2021 (item 6h on that page).  At that meeting Cabinet approved funding for the proposed expansion.

What is the proposal?

It is proposed that Windsor Girls’ School is expanded from 208 to 230 places per year group, with a permanent expansion of the accommodation of the school from September 2022.

What are the next steps?

  • The Royal Borough and the school have submitted a planning application for the new buildings.
  • The Windsor Learning Partnership will need to seek formal permission from the Department for Education (DfE) for the expansion of an academy.
