The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Council takes place in May every year. It is at this meeting that there is a Mayormaking Ceremony. This is when the Mayor and Deputy Mayor are officially appointed and begin their civic year.  The meeting is either held in the Town Hall, Maidenhead or the Guildhall, Windsor.

Note:  The government have issued regulations amending the arrangement for holding public meetings in the light of the social distancing requirements.  Local authorities are not required to hold an AGM this May, with all appointments, including that of the Mayor, continuing until the next scheduled AGM in May 2021.  However, Council's may hold an AGM if they so wish either remotely or once the social distancing rules have been lifted.  The proposed AGM in May will not take place. Further details on whether the AGM will take place this year will provided in due course.
