If you’re a European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) or Swiss citizen, you and your family will be able to apply to get either settled or pre-settled status.
This will mean you can continue living in the UK after Wednesday 31 December 2020, you will have until Wednesday 30 June 2021 to apply for either settled or pre-settled status.

Identity verification
You will need a compatible ios or Android phone or tablet if you want to scan your identity document yourself, this can be your own phone or tablet or someone else’s. Otherwise you can use a postal service to send your documents to the Home Office.
