Are the counsellors trained?

Counsellors go through a very careful selection and training process, where they have to show competence in every basic aspect of counselling before they can work in Youth Counselling. They are required to keep their skills up to date by attending several training courses each year. All counsellors have undergone a police check in accordance with current DfES requirements.
