Waste Education

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) offers free waste education sessions and a range of interactive games which are linked to the national curriculum. They are aimed at raising awareness of waste issues and the 3 R's (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) for schools and community groups.

Interactive Games

  • Remember you're a womble - Do you have the memory of Uncle Bulgaria? Remember where those items of waste are! Once you get a matching pair, you have to decide whether the item can be recycled, composted or reused.
  • Guess Who - Find out what item of waste you have turned into! You'll need all your Sherlock Holmes powers to deduce what you are.
  • Make recycling your goal! Reuse FC, Reduce Rovers and Recycle United enter a World Cup draw to see who is Premier Waste Cup Champion! Is your team a recycling champion?
  • Recycleanory - Storytelling at its finest! You'll need a keen sense of hearing and the ability to jump as high as a flea while looking out for your recycle buzz words!
  • Mr Cool - A visit from this friendly teddy will be sure to make recycling even cooler than it already is! He is especially useful with nursery groups.

Freebies!

There is a free recycled goody on offer for every resident that takes part in a Waste Education session.

Schools Recycling

RBWM also provies a free service to enable all schools to recycle their paper, cardboard, glass bottles, plastic bottles and tin cans.
