Get your classmates and teachers talking with these tips and encourage your School to reduce, reuse and recycle. Could your School even save or make money from our tips?

  • Have a policy in place and achieve sustainable recycling and procurement practices. Follow the Learning for Sustainability framework.
  • RBWM offer free recycling collections to all schools. Make sure your school takes advantage and recycles all paper, cardboard, glass bottles and jars, tins, cans, aerosols and plastic bottles.
  • Site a textile collection bin and your school will receive money for it's recycling.

  • Incorporate recycling into lessons with these lesson plans and activities.
  • Why not try carrying out a waste audit. Analyse the rubbish your school produces and then target these with campaigns to reduce it, lke this waste free lunch.

  • Set up an eco-garden and grow your school fruit and vegetables. Set up a compost bin also and reduce your food waste whilst adding nutrients to the garden. Lunch times will never be the same again!
