Occasional overnight moorings are available along the riverbank from downstream of the slipway, in the main stream of the river, up to the eastern end of Baths Island/ Deadwater Ait. Further berths are also available inside the island from below the Railway viaduct on both the island and main riverbanks.
Fees are due on all boats moored overnight, and tickets are valid for a period of twenty four hours from Midday to Midday. Fees are due on all vessels within a raft.
Moorings tickets must be displayed at all times. All boats are recorded on a daily basis and any failure to pay for overnight mooring or any subsequent days will be subject to payment to cover the whole period. The Royal Borough work closely with the environment agency to safeguard the river and promote correct river use, your licence registration details will be used to make contact at your registered home address should you fail to meet your financial obligations.
Leisure centre staff act on behalf of the Royal Borough to collect mooring fees. They deserve the right to undertake their duties without fear of threat or abuse. Any incidents will be reported to the Police.
Valid Moorings tickets £8, entitle holders to entry to the Windsor Leisure Centre at Advantage Card Member rates. Please show Moorings tickets at Reception on entry to the Centre.A water fill-up point for river users is located adjacent to the slipway, this has a fresh water mains supply via a bibcock tap. To prevent wastage there is also a push button flow controller. Water will run freely when the tap is open and the push button is pressed in.
To ensure all river users can gain easy access to this facility, the berth adjacent to the water point is not to be used for overnight mooring. Once tanks have been filled please vacate the berth as quickly as possible, to allow others who may be waiting to use the water point.
Two rubbish disposal points are provided in this area of the moorings, one on the main riverbank where the footbridge crosses to Baths Island, and on the other, on the main riverbank immediately upstream of the Baths Island. Please place all rubbish into the bins provided. All fly tippers will be prosecuted.
If you experience any problems with these bins, please advise the Leisure Centre Reception of the Mooring Fee collector.
A recycling centre is located adjacent to the entry of the slipway road.
When you are moving between your boat and the riverbank please check conditions for a safe transfer. The riverbank can become slippery in adverse conditions. Please ensure all children are closely supervised. In an emergency the nearest telephone is located in the Leisure Centre Reception. A public telephone is located in Stovell Road if the Centre is closed.
