Resurfacing Programme Frequently Asked Questions

As the Highway Authority we need to carry out Planned Highway Maintenance. If a vehicle is parked on the highway and is obstructing our contractors from carrying out the works we may serve a notice on the vehicle and have it removed to a safe location (as close to its original location as possible). Prior to the removal of any vehicle letters will have been sent to local residents and advance warning notices displayed on site. In addition, numerous attempts will be made to contact the owner of the vehicle prior to its removal. In these instances we will not pursue a claim to recover the expenses incurred in order to remove the vehicle.
