Here are our tips for choosing and fitting a cycle
helmet:

Buy a
new helmet (rather than a second-hand one).
- Check it meets one of these approved Safety Test
Standards: BS EN 1078, SNELL B-95, AS/NZS 2063.
- Match your helmet to your head size (measure your
head about 2.5cm above your eyebrows).
- Try on your helmet placing it squarely on your head
about 2.5cm above your eyebrows.
- Fasten the chinstrap. It should rest under
your chin, not on your jaw-line, and should be easy to
fasten and adjust.
- The helmet should not move when you nod you
head.
