Change in the age of eligibility for Bus Passes

From 6 April 2010, residents will no longer be eligible to receive a free bus pass once they reach 60 years of age.

How to use this table

To find out when you will be eligible for an older person's bus pass, first find your date of birth in the left-hand column. The check the right-hand column of that line to find out when is the earliest date you can apply for an older person's bus pass.

Example: someone born on 5 May 1950 may be issued a bus pass from 6 May 2010, but someone born on 6 May 1950 may not be issued a bus pass until 6 July 2010.
