Adult social services are means-tested services. You will have two assessments. One assesses your care and support needs and how much they are likely to cost. The other assesses your financial circumstances and determines how much, if anything you will be required to contribute to the cost of your care. If your financial assessment determines that you should pay a contribution towards your care you must do so whether you receive your Personal Budget as a Direct Payment or if it is managed by the council.
Below is a list of charges to Personal Budget Holders for services provided by the Royal Borough.
Please Note: Should a Personal Budget Holder from another local authority purchase services provided by this authority, then this authority will charge that person for the full cost of providing the service: this will be 25% above the charges set for Personal Budget Holders of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

This service is chargeable from the 15th day of receiving this service if you are required to pay for your social care after a financial assessment. The leaflet, Meeting your Immediate Needs explains this service in more detail.
This leaflet explains how we work out your contribution to the cost of the support package you receive when you are living in your own home.
A new Contribution Policy came into effect from 3 January 2011. This policy says that everyone in need of social care must be financially assessed to determine how much they can afford to pay towards the total cost of their care and support. It also says that if a person cannot afford to pay the full cost of their care and support, the council may be able to fund the difference.
This guide is for all people who attend day service sessions run by the Council, including those who pay for all of their care. It explains:
Policy for Calculating an Individual's Contribution to their Personal Budget.
