Deferred Payments

The government regulations on charging for care in a residential care or nursing home requires local Councils to assess the amount that you can afford to contribute to the cost of the care. The Deferred Payments Scheme allows you to put off the sale of your home during your lifetime. This leaflet provides information about what you need to know about the scheme
