Fostering Information Evenings in RBWM

Would you like to find out more about fostering in RBWM?

Come and talk to borough foster carers about the fantastic job they do looking after local children!

Every 2 months we hold a Fostering Information Evening at the Town Hall of Maidenhead. These are informal meetings where anyone wishing to know more about fostering can come along and speak to social workers of the fostering team and the carers themselves.

There is a short presentation about why children go into care, what is looked for in potential foster carers, and the different kinds of fostering you can do. Then there is the opportunity to chat and ask questions over a cup of tea.

We give out information packs and additional reading material regarding all the different aspects of fostering.

NB This is an opportunity for you to find out more about looking after children in care. While we hope you will further your interest in fostering, there is no expectation that you commit to anything if you attend one of these information evenings.
