What does the council do for disabled people?
The Council aims to promote full equality for people with disabilities, including working to provide access to the range of services already accessible to other people.
For general advice, support and details of what services the council may be able to provide to help disabled people maintain their independence, please go to disabilities.
This will include advice on adaptations for homes, employment and training, community transport and sporting, leisure and social activities specifically aimed at people with disabilities.
