About Us at Brunel

We are a Centre for adults with learning disabilities situated in Maidenhead. Brunel Centre is a single storey building in a residential area a mile south west (on the Reading side) of Maidenhead town centre. It has a centre reception area, five group workrooms, a training kitchen and dining hall. All areas are accessible to people with mobilty problems and wheelchair users.

Also a new service for ethnicity minorities has been added to the widen the range of resources available at the Brunel Centre. The aims and objectives of this service are:

  • To encourage, support, help and advise people with learning difficulties from Asian communities in the Windsor and Maidenhead area.
  • To introduce them to The Brunel Day Centre and organised activities and to meet their individuals needs when accessing the service.
  • Asian languages like Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi speaking staff are available to support the Service Users within their own cultural needs.
  • Support is also available for parents or carers who look after people with learning difficulties.
