Alternative Providers of Care

A 'provider service' can be any organisation, agency, group of people or individual, which supplies a service in the community, home or hospital.

There are many agencies that the Council work with, depending on the needs of the person and the resources that they have available at the time. It is possible for you to contact them directly for services providing that you are prepared to pay for the hourly rate.

The listing below contains voluntary and private providers that run completely seperately from the council.  We are presently using their services but it is not a preferred provider listing as these suppliers are subject to an ongoing accreditation process. Once this process is complete, an accredited care providers list will be placed on the website.  Please contact the social services access team for further advice on finding alternative providers of care.

If you think you might benefit from any service provided by Social Services and you would like us to contact you by phone or email, please click the following link and complete the Social Services Contact Us/Self Referral Online Form and someone will be in touch with you as soon as possible.

Guide2care is a comprehensive information service for those providing care and those seeking information about the different care options available.  Please note that Social Services has no control over this website and although we may, we do not automatically approve the service providers listed.
