Hospice Care

Hospices provide care specifically for terminally ill people and give support to their carers both in the hospice and at home.

Admission is arranged through your doctor or hospital consultant. Some private nursing and rest homes also specialise in the care of the terminally ill. Your doctor or hospital consultant should know of such homes in your area.

Help the Hospices is the national charity for the hospice movement. Through the site you can find a great deal of information on exactly what a hospice does, how to access their services and what you could do to help support them. The charity also provides a directory of local hospices.
