Opportunities to Volunteer
There are lots of exciting opportunities to volunteer in the
'Sports Development' programme through term time and holiday
periods. Volunteers can get involved with various activities including
sports activities, arts and crafts and day/residential trips.
Benefits of volunteering in the Programme include:
- Picking up volunteering hours to complete awards such as Community
Sports Leader Awards, Step into Sport, Millenium Volunteers and Duke of
Edingburgh.
- Experience in coaching and working in different environments
- Experience of working with a diverse range of young people
including those with special needs
- Having the opportunity to learn from and be mentored by qualified
coaches
- Opportunity to take a lead on games and activities
- Links to other opportunities with sports / activities
- Practical sports and activities experience
- Training available to support delivery
- Confidence / team building
- Being a part of a team that makes a positive impact to young
people's lives
To get involved
You must have a Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead criminal records
check or be happy to go through the process of getting one done, also a health
check. We would be pleased to hear from anyone however much time you can
give to volunteering.
Current opportunities include:
- Term time evenings at Datchet, Eton Wick, Dedworth and Old
Windsor Youth Clubs
- School holiday activities across the Royal Borough of Windsor &
Maidenhead
The programme will expand to other areas in the near future.
