The
Berkshire Healthy Schools Award focuses on areas that address children and
young people's social and physical well being while at school.
It can have a positive impact on the overall growth and learning of
school aged children and their development into adulthood.
There are four core themes of the National Healthy Schools Programme:
1. Personal Social & Health Education including sex and relationship education and drug education (including alcohol, tobacco, and volitile substance abuse)
2. Healthy Eating
3. Physical Activity
4. Emotional Health and Well-being (including bullying)
