Nationality Application Checking Service

The Service

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead offer a Nationality Application Checking Service to help applicants for British Citizenship. This service enables applicants to have their forms checked by a citizenship officer before being sent to the Home Office for approval. The aim of the service is to minimise delays in processing applications by ensuring that all necessary information and the correct documentation is sent to the Home Office.
All supporting documentation is copied and certified so that originals, including passports, remain in the safe keeping of the applicant.

Evidence of completion of the Life in the UK Test is required before any application may be checked and processed.

The Royal Borough offers a limited service by appointment only and the service is based in the Town Hall, Maidenhead and in York House in Windsor. Please telephone 01628 796991 for further details

What the Service offers

• Checking forms are properly completed
• Checking, copying and certifying documents
• Ensuring all supporting documentation is attached to the application
• Despatching forms to the Home Office by special delivery

Application Forms

Application forms for British Citizenship can be obtained by telephoning the Home office tel: 0845 010 5200 or downloaded from the Home Office website. The Citizenship Office in Maidenhead does not hold a stock of these forms.
