Population information for the Royal Borough comes from both the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and from the Berkshire Population Model. Information on how these datasets are calculated can be found on the Population Estimates web page.

The population estimates for the Royal Borough can be viewed by age in the table below. The data from the 2001 Census can be compared to ONS estimates and Berkshire Population Model estimates. The 2009 Berkshire Population Model estimates are the most up-to-date that the Council holds.
