Maidenhead Town Centre AAP Examination

Inspector and Programme Officer

The Secretary of State appointed David Hogger BA MSc MRTPI MIHT, of the Planning Inspectorate, to conduct the examination into the legal compliance and soundness of the AAP. The examination hearing sessions were held on 29, 30 and 31 March 2011.

The Inspector subsequently consulted interested parties on whether there are any implications from the Chancellor of the Exchequer 2011 budget. The Inspector's letter can be downloaded below. The responses from the Council and other participants can be viewed here.

The Inspector considered all representations made to the AAP both through the hearing sessions and those made previously in response to the submission consultation. In his report the Inspector found the AAP to be sound. Further information, including the report, can be viewed on the Maidenhead Town Centre AAP webpage.

Questions to the Council from the Inspector

The Inspector decided not to hold a pre hearing meeting in the interests of efficiency and because there were comparatively few participants. He did however asked the Council to respond to two sets of preliminary questions which can be downloaded below. The Inspector also asked further questions after the hearing. This is also available to download below.
