The Local Development Scheme (LDS) is a public project plan identifying when different parts of the Local Development Framework will be produced, in what order and when.
The Government requires every local planning authority to prepare and maintain a LDS. The LDS is therefore reviewed annually to ensure it is up-to-date.
The most uptodate LDS can be viewed by clicking on the link below. This LDS is the submission draft that was sent to the Secretary of State (via the Government Office for the South East) on 18 November 2008. The LDS cannot be brought into effect until the Secretary of State has indicated that she is content with the LDS or has directed the Council to make changes. This normally occurs within 4 weeks of its submission.
To make sure you are kept in touch with the LDF, it is suggested that you keep a note to the important date, such as consultation periods, outlined in the LDS. You may also wish to register on the Council's consultation database. For more information please visit the Consultation System webpage.
