Interpretation of Policy F1 (Areas Liable to Flooding)

The Interpretation of Policy F1 (Area Liable to Flooding) Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) was adopted in June 2004. The SPG outlines detailed guidance on assessing development within areas recognised as being at risk of flooding.

Please note that since this SPG was adopted and published, the Environment Agency has advised the Council on changes to the extent of the area liable to flood. The maps showing the extent of flooding at the time of adoption have been removed to avoid causing confusion. For up-to-date information on flooding please contact the Environment Agency (http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/) or the Planning Policy Unit.
