Ambition Groups - Community Partnership
Role and Objectives
Purpose
Five Ambition Groups have been established since a restructure in 2008. They will strive to achieve the given aims and objectives of the key themes and guiding principles in the Community Strategy, and for this purpose will be accountable to the Community Partnership of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
Ambition Groups
The Ambition Groups listed below will tackle the four key themes of the Partnership.
- Children & Younger People - Children's Trust; Early Intervention; Children & Adolescent Mental Health Service; Safeguarding; Transition; Achievement; Enjoyment; Inclusion; Targeting; Parenting; Participation; Information, Advice & Guidance; Vocational Options; Play & Recreation
- Healthier Communities - Supporting Adults & Older People to promote the health and well being of adults and develop services that respect older people's independence; provision of care transfers between different care settings. Services should be viable, affordable, effective, accessible, responsive and non-discriminatory.
- Sustainable Environment - A Cleaner, Greener Borough protect the public; Promote sustainable lifestyles and protect the environment; Improve the appearance of the Borough.
- Economic Vitality & Inclusion - Manage our infrastructure more effectively; Support our residents to achieve their economic potential.
- Safer & Stronger Communities- Reducing crime; Reassuring the public and reducing the fear of crime; Reducing the harm caused by illegal drugs and alcohol; Building respect in communities and reducing anti-social behaviour; Empowering local people to have a greater choice and influence over local decision-making and a greater role in public service delivery; Cleaner, greener and safer public spaces; Increasing domestic fire safety and reducing arson; leading in the RBWM Compact.
